Online or Internet Business is as real as human life.
Online (Internet)Internet Business is simply the use of internet to transact business. It is all about make money Online, and in most cases at the comfort of ones home.
Over the years, Online or Internet Business has assumed a wider range of acceptability and gained ground.Till today, Online or Internet Business is still growing and faster for that matter at wider demension.
The age we are in now (Information Technology - IT age) has made Online Business to gain more ground. Today almost every faecet of life has to do with computer; ranging from Banking Sector, Agricultural Sector Educational Sector etc.
Many people have made lots of fortune through Online or Internet Business while many have not found their feet. Unfortunately also, a good number of people are ignorant of the word 'Internet Business'.
Now, what is Internet business or Online Business?
Online or Internet in a layman's language is simply transacting business online or with the use of Internet. It is all about making money in the internet, and in most cases at the comfort of your home.
TYPES OF ONLINE BUSINESS:
There are different types of Online or Internet Business, but before i go into the real business, first of all i will like to broadly categorise Online Business based on ethics or morals.
Ethical types or categorisation of online business or internet business has to do with grouping Online Business based on morals or what is widely acceptable or not acceptable as been good and acceptable to the society. It has to do to do with what appeals to the consience ; for people that have lively consience.
Based on the fore-going,Online or Internet Business can be broadly classified into two, viz;
1). FAKE ONLINE BUSINESS OR UNTHICAL ONLINE BUSINESS
2). GENUINE ONLINE BUSINESS OR ETHICAL ONLINE BUSINESS

FAKE ONLINE BUSINESS OR UNTHICAL ONLINE BUSINESS
As the name implies these are different ways by which people dump their other people in the internet. Most of the times, some may appear to be genuine or real but at the longrun it will turn to fake. Some others will look faked from the?onset.
In Internet language it is called SCAMMING.
Such internet or Online Businesses are:
a). Yahoo-Yahoo - here they can send an email telling you that you won this or that etc.
b). Selling Fake E-Books or Shabby E-books.
c). Placing of money on loan throug perfect money, liberty account etc.
The list can continue.But let's go into business. The second group is,

GENUINE OR ETHICAL ONLINE BUSINESS.
Just as the name implies, they are the types of Online Business that one can use to make genuine money Online or via internet.
Examples are:
a. GOOGLE ADSENSE
b. AFFILIATE MARKETING or Amazon Affiliate marketing
c. NETWORKING OR MLM
d. FOREX etc

Lets go into some brief explanations of some of them.

1. Amazon Affiliate marketing:

3. Information marketing:

(Selling of e-books and digital products created by you or created by other people) Start-up capital: Between N25, 000 and N47,000. You start making N40,000 to N100,000 monthly profits within 2 to 6 months after learning. It is also possible to start information marketing business without spending anything but it will take much much longer before you start getting regular profits. The more money you put in, the more money you will make.

Now let us take a closer look at the first one of these three businesses:

AMAZON AFFILIATE MARKETING

In Amazon affiliate marketing, you will be referring people to Amazon.com the world?s largest online store and you get commissions when people buy products through your link.

You can start with a free website and no other extra cost. In affiliate marketing, the focus is on selecting good, profitable products from Amazon.com, creating a review webpage for the product and driving traffic to that page by improving its search engine rankings. A review is a post or page that contains details about a product including its good and bad sides and also recommendations as to whether the product is good enough to buy or not.

The whole process can be broken down into three steps viz:

Step 1: Select a good quality, high commission product and generate your affiliate links for that product. This could take you 48 hours to a week to complete this step.

Step 2: Create a very high quality review post or page packed full of useful, valuable and unique information about the product. Sprinkled inside the review will be your affiliate links leading to where the product can be bought. This could take a week or two to complete this step

Step 3: Build quality links from other websites to the review page to increase the rankings of the page. This is the most difficult aspect and could take up to 6 months for you to complete.

The downside about doing affiliate marketing in Nigeria is that that if you are just starting out, you have to wait for many months (sometimes even up to one year!) before you can receive your first payment in a form that you can withdraw and spend. This long delay is not always the case and is mainly due to due to the nature in which Nigerian affiliate marketers get paid which is through cheque.

This cheque, which is a foreign cheque is sent by post from the USA (or whichever country the merchant company is located). If you are lucky and your address is simple to locate, this cheque could take only a short time to get to you. And it will take an additional 21 days for it to be cleared and lodged in your account for withdrawal.

For people not living in Nigeria, this is not always the case as there are faster payment options available in some other countries but not available in Nigeria.

Although other ways of receiving payment exist, the cheque is the most viable one that can be used in Nigeria at this time. Because of space, I cannot go too deep into the step by step of how to do the three steps mentioned above.

Despite the long delay in getting your first cheque, affiliate marketing still remains the one with the greatest prospects because once you are able to have everything set up, it only requires very little maintenance and it will receive a continuous stream of free traffic and growing revenues from search engines like Google.

This is truly what is known as making money on autopilot. Whether you are asleep or awake or on holidays, the website will continue to generate cash for you without you taking any further action.
